In the scope of accreditation the division carries out the following tests:
  • measurements of a sound equivalent level A in the range from 20 dB to 140 dB coming from power plants, heat and power plants, substations of all voltage levels as well as from other industrial plants - according to the reference method, see attachment no. 6 to the ordinance of the Minister of Environment of 4 November, 2008, Journal of Laws [Dz.U.] No. 206, item 1291,
  • measurements of a sound equivalent level A in the range from 20 dB to 140 dB coming from overhead power transmission lines of all voltage levels - according to the reference method, see attachment no. 6 to the ordinance of the Minister of Environment of 4 November, 2008, Journal of Laws [Dz.U.] No. 206, item 1291 and the Polish standard PN-N-01339:2000 "Methods of measurement and assessment of the noise coming from high voltage power transmission lines",
  • measurements of a sound equivalent and maximal level A in the range from 20 dB to 140 dB in rooms and buildings - according to the Polish standard PN-87/B-02156 "Building acoustics. Methods of measurement of a sound level A in buildings".
  • measurements of a sound pressure in order to calculate the surface level of sound A in the range from 20 dB to 140 dB and calculate the corrected level of the acoustic power A of machines and devices - according to the Polish standard PN-EN ISO 3746:2011, "Acoustics. Determining the levels of acoustic power and levels of sound energy of the sources of noise on the basis of measurements of the sound pressure. Approximate method with the application of an ambient measuring surface above the surface reflecting sound".
  • measurements of sound pressure in order to calculate the surface level of sound A in the range from 20 dB to 140 dB and calculate the corrected level of the acoustic power A of transformers, reactors of all voltage levels and their cooling devices - according to the Polish standard PN-EN 60076-10:2003 "Transformers – Part 10: Determination of levels of sound".

Ireneusz Malciak Eng. is authorized to approve the test reports in the scope of the Division activity.

The scope of activity additionally includes:

  • guarantee measurements as well as measurements and analysis of device noise and systems noise,
  • working out the reports of environmental influence in the scope of noise and electromagnetic fields of 50 Hz in transformer stations, overhead power transmission lines as well as in power plants and in heat and power plants,
  • measurements of vibrations and noise (vibroacoustics) of turbogenerator stators,
  • measurements of vibrations of the bearing housings,
  • transformers vibroacoustic tests,
  • partial discharge tests with the acoustic method.

To carry out the above mentioned tests we use the newest measuring equipment:

  • sound analyzer 2250B of Brüel & Kjaer,
  • multi-analyzer 3560 PULSE of Brüel & Kjaer,
  • partial discharge recorder with acoustic method PCI-2 EIGHT CHANNEL AE ACQUISITION SYSTEM OF PALAT Company.
